The network certifications offered by Cisco are ideal for pushing your career ahead. You could start with a CCENT certification that is designed for beginners.

Interesting information, another good place to go for information would be the Cisco website. I recently got my CCNA from there and i'd recommend it for anyone who's looking for information on CCA certs or anything else in IT.

I'm not sure which of the two exam routes is the easier way to go, although I am more familiar with the composite exam. I would highly recommend the Cisco Learning Network to anyone who is preparing to take the CCNP exams, though. It's really helpful and can help make the information you're trying to learn much easier to digest. There is an online community where you can get advice from other IT professionals, and a certification spotlight with plenty of information about the CCNP exams.

I know of a really good resource for anyone taking these classes to prepare for Cisco Certification. They have a learning network online now where you can discuss various topics with other IT professionals and share information. They also have a "certification spotlight" that goes through all the different specializations. It seems like should be a great learning tool for people of all experience levels. There's a "technology spotlight" for instance, which covers all the latest technologies.
