UNITEK’s Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA) 4 program
The Citrix CCIA training program requires almost all of the same tests in the Citrix CCIA training, including the 4-hour hands-on “Build & Test” Practicum (only the CTX-1258 course / CTX-1Y0-258 test is not part of the CCIA). In addition to hands-on product knowledge of the Citrix Access Suite, the Citrix CCIA certification prepares the candidate to assess an “Access Infrastructure” and design a custom Citrix solution, integrating all of the Access Suite Components.
For a student who has already completed the Citrix CCEA 4 Course, then, there are two more classes and tests required: the CTX-6113 (Access Suite Assessment), with a corresponding CTX-1Y0-613 test, and the CTX-6114 (Access Suite Design), with a corresponding CTX-1Y0-614 test. These two classes together are covered over 4 days of instructor-led training.
The 6113 Citrix Course focusses on the infrastructure assessment phase of a major Citrix Access Suite implementation project, the final product at the end of the two days being an "Access Structure Assessment (ASA)" document, covering in detail the various aspects of a major enterprise implementation of the Citrix Access Suite. Citrix provides document templates and assessment guidelines for integrators so that the business communication and documentation aspects of a Citrix implementation will conform to Citrix Consulting`s "Best Practices". The 6114 Citrix Course covers the design phase of the Citrix implementation, including in-depth discussions on the subtle points to watch out for among the host of features within the Citrix Access Suite when rolling out to a large enterprise. Each aspect of the Citrix Access infrastructure is covered in-depth, each with recommendations from Citrix Consulting on how best to implement a feature, and how to overcome frequently encountered real-world obstacles.
For a student who has already completed an earlier version of the CCEA Course or the CCIA certification (version 3 or version “XP FR3”), and wants to upgrade to version 4, the issue is that some of the newer features of the Citrix Access Suite, most notably the Access Gateway with Advanced Access Control, have not yet been introduced, as they were not involved in the older certifications, and also that the “Build and Test” practicum has not yet been taken. Therefore, Unitek offers a 7-day version of the CCIA Course, with a day of custom training on the new components, and a two-day intensive workshop to prepare for the Build & Test lab. The final 4 days of the Citrix Course are composed of the 6113 and 6114 class, topping off the product knowledge transferred during the first 3-days of intensive hands-on training.
