Please read this section very carefully, because it deals with student expectations from the CompTIA A+ boot camp experience.

While not required, it is recommended that students who attend our A+ bootcamp have at least 2 months of field and lab experience with computers.

Please note that in addition, to many hours of lecture and labs, students will need to spend additional time in "self-study" (Boot camps are known for late night work) in order to pass your exams during the course. The focus of this class is on becoming certified, which means that you will be discussing practice exam questions as a part of your learning effort.

People understand concepts best when they have done work that is related to the concepts. Our CompTIA A+ course focuses on getting into your brain the "roadmaps" you need to do the work. If you have sufficient IT background, this CompTIA A+ course will empower you to be able to pass the two A+ tests during the Boot Camp. If you don't have the IT background (or enough of it), and you have not studied enough related material, you will still get the roadmap that you need to continue on and (with effort) be able to pass all the tests, typically within 30-45 days.

You will receive a CompTIA A+ training kit consisting of the latest Sybex tests which focus on the latest CompTIA A+ exams.

CompTIA A+ exams are delivered at the Training Center, which is an authorized VUE Testing Center. Since the CompTIA exams are adaptive, they are only 90 minutes in length. We will provide a large number of testing stations dedicated to the CompTIA boot camp. A test administrator will be available throughout the day, and in the evening, to register you for the tests.

You will receive two test vouchers. No additional payment is necessary for the vouchers. If you have already passed one of the tests, talk to your counselor about a voucher discount.
