Each day the CompTIA A+ and Network+ boot camp starts at 9:00 am sharp and continues until 7:00 pm.

If you finish our CompTIA boot camp without your certification, you can attend a future CompTIA boot camp, all at no cost to you. Please read this section very carefully, because it deals with student expectations from the CompTIA boot camp experience.

No IT experience is necessary to attend. No, we're are not kidding. No experience is needed. Just don't expect to be able to pass all the tests at the end of the week. This CompTIA boot camp attracts both students new to IT, and students already in the IT field. The expectations of the two groups should be different.

People understand concepts best when they have done work that is related to the concepts. Our course focuses on getting into your brain the "roadmaps" you need to do the work. If you have sufficient IT background, you should be able to pass most/all of the tests (2 A+ and 1 Network+) during the CompTIA boot camp. If you don't have the IT background (or enough of it), you get the roadmap that you need to continue on and (with effort) be able to pass the tests, typically within 30-45 days. The instructor continues to mentor you after the CompTIA boot camp, to make sure that you pass your tests.

Each CompTIA student will get a CompTIA Net+ training kit. The CompTIA course material has been specifically written for Unitek by the author who is also the instructor (read instructor profile below). All students will receive an intensive pre-study packet before they come to class (all students must be registered 2 weeks prior to taking the class to receive the intensive pre-study packet delivered to their home or it will be distributed on the first day of class). This pre-study packet includes training videos and audios and other course material.

You will receive three CompTIA test vouchers. No additional payment is necessary for the vouchers. If you have already passed one of the tests, talk to your counselor about a voucher discount.

The CompTIA A+ and Network+ Boot Camp will prepare you for the following exams:

• 220-301 CompTIA A+ Core hardware
• 220-302 CompTIA A+ OS technologies
• N10-002 CompTIA Network+

CompTIA exams are delivered at the Training Center, which is an authorized VUE Testing Center. We will provide a large number of testing stations dedicated to the CompTIA boot camp. A test administrator will be available throughout the day, and in the evening, to register you for the tests.
