The Linux Professional Institute Certifications provide a vendor-independent professional certification for system administrators and programmers. These standards are an easy indication to the Linux fraternity on a candidate's competency.
LPIC Exams The exams are distribution-neutral, requiring a general knowledge of Linux rather than specifics about a certain distribution, and cover wide-range of different Linux based topics. This is shown in the way that the exams deal with the differing package management formats .deb and .rpm and in the current version the candidate is expected to know both formats.
The exams are administered through our Pearson VUE test centres. Candidates who have earned LPIC certifications are required to re-certify every five years or alternatively earn a higher certification status even if their certification was earned prior to 1 September 2004. Unitek offers all two levels of the LPI Certifications. You can use the links below to review the LPIC boot camp details and register online.
